Children's Ministry

Our purpose is to supplement the family in reaching kids and helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ.

BRIDGEKIDS

At BridgeWay Church, children are a priority. We consider it an honor to encourage and equip parents to invest in the next generation (Proverbs 22:6).  Our Bridge Kids purpose is to create a fun, safe and engaging environment, connecting them to God and others. We also want to help equip our families with tools that will help them make God the highest priority in their home and in all areas of their lives (Deuteronomy 6:7).

We prioritize children because we know they are a gift from God (Psalm 127:3). As a church, we know that we are developing tomorrow’s leaders by sowing biblical truths into their hearts. Every child wants to know they have a significant purpose in life and our hope is to see each child fulfill that God-given purpose. We believe it is never too early to begin sharing God’s Word with these precious children.

WHAT TO EXPECT YOUR FIRST VISIT

Every Sunday, we offer Bridge Kids classes for children 4 months-5th grade! While you are in the adult service, your child will experience  their very own age appropriate Worship and lesson. They will then dive into the Bible with their small groups, which consist of children of the same age. Each of our volunteers have completed a background check and they have a heart for helping your child grow in their love and faith for Jesus! We also utilize a kiosk check in system that allows us to safely check out each child at the end of class.

When you arrive for the first time in Bridge Kids, you will report to our Guest Services area located in the main lobby of the building. There, you will be greeted by one of our awesome volunteers who will ask you to fill out an enrollment card.  We will want to know your child’s names, your contact information and if your child has any allergies or medical information we need to know about.

It is our goal to create a safe, loving environment for your child where they can grow in their love and knowledge of the Lord! We will provide you with a two part nametag. Both tags will have a matching number. One is for you and one is for your child. When you come back to pick up your child at the end of class, we will ask you to present this tag, so please have it handy. All of our volunteers have completed background checks and Ministry Safe training.

After you check in, one of our wonderful volunteers will escort you and your child to their classroom. We have classes for children from Nursery through 5th Grade.

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL BE LEARNING

Nursery & Preschool (2 months- 5 years old)

We know things are busy at this stage of life and your children are learning and growing in amazing ways.  We are ready for them!
We believe in an active, hands-on approach to learning with preschool children.  So, you can plan on a lot of jumping, singing, dancing and laughter in every experience.  Be on the lookout for fun crafts and big games.
We look forward to helping your Nursery & Preschoolers learn more about God.
It is our hope that your child will learn:
God LOVES me.
God MADE me.
Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.

Elementary (Kindergarten- 5th grade)

Our Elementary kids enjoy weekly interactive Worship, engaging games, awesome storytelling and both a small and large group experience.  We believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud, and good leaders always care. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their own lives, learn how to talk to him, and to build friendships that will last.
Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure they know these three things:

I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

GET INVOLVED

Each volunteer who serves in Bridge Kids is required to complete a background check and go through an interview process with our Children’s Minister. Safety is a top priority at Bridge Kids. The application and background check forms are kept confidential and are seen by only those assigned to monitor the process.

If you have a desire to serve God through our children’s ministry and want to know more, please contact Lisa Rowland at lisa@bwchurch.org.
