Giving at BridgeWay is not about what we want from you, but what we want for you. Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:25). Christ knew that the giver always receives as much or more than the receiver. As you give, you not only provide for the work of ministry and missions to be done, but you receive the serendipity of being blessed by God. One great example of this is described by Paul in 2 Corinthians 8. The Macedonians had very little, but they begged for a chance to give to help the needs of famine victims in Jerusalem. “Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints” (2 Corinthians 8:4). We ask all members to participate in our vision to be a church without walls, to share the news of Christ across the street and around the world.
