NEW HERE?HERE"S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Sometimes visiting a new church is a little intimidating. Here’s what you can expect if you attend one of worship times on Sundays at 9:30 or 11 am:
Worship: Our corporate worship is characterized by praise and honor to God. We focus on celebrating God’s love and His holiness. We often say, “Come as you are, but don’t stay as you are.” BridgeWay is a place where you are accepted and loved unconditionally. It’s also a place where we challenge each other to learn more about Christ’s will for our lives. Practical messages are designed to connect Biblical teaching with everyday concerns in our lives. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, you can find a place to jump in and continue your search to know God better.
Music: Whether we’re singing hymns or contemporary praise songs, we encourage everyone to participate. The focus of music at BridgeWay is to call everyone into the presence of God and to recognize his greatness and amazing grace. You don’t have to have a great voice, just a heart that wants to connect with God.
Communion: We share in communion every Sunday, as a special time to remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ. We practice open communion, so that everyone who believes in Christ is welcome and encouraged to join in.
Prayer: If you have a prayer need, you can share it on the communication card that is provided each week in the seat pockets. You can mark your prayer request as confidential, if you prefer. If you have a more open request, the BridgeWay staff will pray over your request during the week. Prayer partners are available at the close of each morning worship time to pray with, and they will keep your requests confidential as well.
Offering: We take an offering each week as an act of worship and to support the ministries of the church. As a guest, you’re free to participate, but don’t feel obligated to do so. If you complete a guest attendance card or a prayer card, we urge you to put these cards in the offering baskets as they are passed.
Parking: As you pull into our parking lot, we have parking attendants who will direct you to available spots. There are two entrances to our worship center – one in front and one behind our building.
What to Wear: You can wear jeans (most of us do) or a business suit, whatever makes you comfortable. We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. We’re a casual community where we like to be real and authentic.
Children’s Worship: Every Sunday, we provide children’s worship for nursery through 5th grade, during our adult worship time. The Faith Factory children’s building is directly behind our main building. Just check your kids in a few minutes before worship. You’ll find security kiosks for purposes of checking in your child and then picking them up after worship. Our trained and enthusiastic staff will care for your children in a kid-friendly atmosphere that is fun, dynamic, and Christ-centered.
Student Worship: Every 1st and 3rd Sunday, 6th-12th graders participate in Engage, a student worship service that runs concurrently with the 11 a.m. adult service. Engage is a safe place for students who are unfamiliar with the church setting to come and experience what it is to worship God, but is deep enough that long-time Christ followers are challenged to grow. Engage meets in the HQ, which is directly behind our main building.
Student Bible Studies: Transform is a class designed for teens to have a deeper bible study. Students will be challenged to dig into scripture as they learn more about who God is and how that relates to them today. Transform takes place every Sunday morning at 9:30 in the HQ. Connect is a large and small group experience where student can connect with each other and with God under the direction of caring adults. Connect takes place every Wednesday at 6:30.
