The One Anothers

We just celebrated Valentine’s Day, a special time set aside to express love to family and friends. What would it look like if we truly loved the people we work with each day? I have been blessed to work with and lead some amazing people. My prayer has been, “Lord, give me a love for these people.” It is much easier to lead ones you love because your agenda is to serve them.

the “one-anothers”  in Scripture hold a wealth of guidance on how to deal with co-workers and colleagues in a Christ-like manner. If we all practiced them, we’d have far fewer problems in the area of relationships.

“Be at peace with each other.” Mark 9:50

“Love one another.”  John 13:34

“Be devoted to one another.”  Romans 12:10

“Honor one another above yourselves.”  Romans 12:10

“Stop passing judgment on one another.”  Romans 14:13

“Accept one another.”  Romans 15:7

“Instruct one another.”  Romans 15:14

“Greet one another.”  Romans 16:16

“Serve one another in love.”  Galatians 5:13

“Carry each other’s burdens.”  Galatians 6:2

“Be patient, bearing with one another in love.”  Ephesians 4:2

“Be kind and compassionate to one another.”  Ephesians 4:32

Forgive each other.”  Ephesians 4:32

“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.”  Ephesians 5:19 (this one may be hard to do!)

“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”  Ephesians 5:21

“In humility consider others better than yourselves.”  Philippians 2:3

“Teach and admonish one another with all wisdom.”  Colossians 3:16

“Encourage each other.”  I Thessalonians 4:18

“Build each other up.”  I Thessalonians 5:11

“Spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”  Hebrews 10:24

“Do not slander one another.”  James 4:11

“Don’t grumble against each other.”  James 5:9

“Confess your sins to each other.”  James 5:16

“Pray for each other.”  James 5:16

“Clothes yourselves with humility toward one another.”  I Peter 5:5

God commands us to love one another, and these Bible verses remind us the many ways that are possible. Of course, these ideas work with those you come in contact with in any situation, so begin using the “one anothers” today!
