Filling the Void Dallas

This is a street ministry that feeds homeless people in areas near downtown Dallas.  We pass out sack meals on Wednesday nights and Saturday noons– with prayer, conversation, and support for those who need even basic help. Older teens and adults participate in this ministry.  During certain parts of the year, our Children’s Ministry class packs the sack lunches for the coming week.

For more information, please contact Gary Nilson (email address) or Kelly Swan, Executive Director for Filling the Void in the United States (email address).

Six Stones Community Project Revitalization (CPR)

Two Saturdays a year, in April and October, we partner with an organization called Six Stones which collaborates with certain DFW cities, including Bedford, Euless, Hurst and Grapevine to provide assistance to needy homeowners.  These homeowners qualify with the city and include veterans, over 62’s, disabled, single parent families who desire or are required to improve their homes.

BridgeWay participates in the Grapevine program to do minor building and property repairs, painting and yardwork. Lunch is provided.

If you have construction skills of any kind, or can paint the outside of homes, check out this opportunity.   The next Six Stones CPR date is shown in Events.  For more information, contact Ron Bowlin, rlbentp82@gmail.com.

Salvation Army Women

Located in downtown Dallas, this is an opportunity, sponsored by Salvation Army, allowing BW women to go twice monthly to the facility to serve, love and teach women who are in transition from prison to society.   Each month, we provide gifts from donations from Connection Groups or D-Groups.  This is an excellent ministry for older teens and adult women.  Donating is also an excellent service project for D- or Connection Groups.

Contact Holly McNeese (email address) or Michelle Branum (email address) if you wish to donate or participate.
